Summary
Policy expanded from brief overview to comprehensive tiered system: General Products (category qualification one-time) and Designated Products (per-listing CPC/test report requirement). Adds FDA, EPA, MoCRA, CPSIA, ASTM standards documentation. Choking hazard labeling now explicitly required in listings and packaging.
Why it matters
Sellers must now obtain and submit per-listing compliance documentation (CPC, test reports) for designated products—car seats, strollers, sleepwear, pacifiers, sunscreen. Non-compliance triggers listing removal, account health deduction, or sale revocation. Costs and timelines for third-party testing increase operational burden significantly.
Recommended action
Audit current catalog against designated product list. Obtain CPCs/test reports from CPSC-accredited labs (365-day freshness) for affected SKUs before next listing or renewal. Ensure tracking labels, electrical safety markings, and choking hazard warnings are physically present and documented photographically.
