Summary
Policy expanded with detailed qualification thresholds, collaboration types, and disqualification criteria. Existing requirements restated with comprehensive examples and procedural detail. No new behavioral mandates introduced.
Why it matters
Change clarifies existing qualification rules (SPS 3.5+, Creator Health 150+, Customer Experience Index metrics) through reformatted documentation. Sellers/creators should review thresholds to verify compliance status, but no new requirements alter current obligations.
Recommended action
Review qualification criteria against current account metrics (SPS, Creator Health Rating, product CEI). Confirm understanding of three collaboration types and disqualification workflows. No immediate compliance action required if already meeting documented thresholds.
Affiliate Marketing Policy 06/17/2026 Key Points: This policy applies to both Sellers and Creators participating in Affiliate Marketing on Tik Tok Shop.
This policy outlines the requirements and eligibility criteria for sellers and creators participating in Affiliate Marketing on Tik Tok Shop.
These rules exist to ensure a fair and high-quality affiliate program for all participants.
Affiliate Marketing Affiliate Marketing is a commission-based relationship between sellers and the creators promoting their products.
Affiliate Marketing offers the following: Sellers can engage creators to promote products that qualify for Affiliate Marketing on the seller's behalf.
The promoted products are considered "affiliate products".
Creators can search for a specific seller's affiliate products to promote and earn commission.
Tik Tok Shop may recommend a seller's affiliate products to creators for promotion.
Accessing Affiliate Marketing The Affiliate Marketing page can be found in Seller Center.
Sellers must consistently meet our Affiliate Marketing qualification criteria to access affiliate marketing and its features.
Affects: Creator, Seller
Tik Tok Shop reserves the right to restrict affiliate marketing access or remove affiliate marketing products if our Affiliate Marketing Qualification Requirements are not met.
Access may also be restricted if we reasonably believe that our Seller Terms of Service, the law, or any applicable policies have been violated.
Affiliate Marketing Collaborations Affiliate Marketing Collaborations are commission plans that sellers can use to engage creators to promote their Affiliate Products.
Sellers can choose from 1 of the following Affiliate Collaborations: Open Collaboration A qualified shop's Affiliate Products are visible to all Affiliate Creators.
Affiliate Creators can apply to promote the seller's Affiliate Products and can promote these products once their application is approved by the seller.
Target Collaboration A qualified shop can invite specific Affiliate Creators to promote their products.
Affiliate Creators who accept a seller's invitation can begin promoting the seller's Affiliate Products.
Shop Collaboration A qualified shop can set a universal commission rate for all of their Affiliate Products, which is visible to all Affiliate Creators.
Affiliate Creators can apply to promote the seller's Affiliate Products and can promote these products once their application is approved by the seller.
Affiliate Marketing Qualification Criteria To participate in Affiliate Marketing, your shop and products must meet the eligibility requirements.
Gaining shop qualification does not guarantee that all products will be enrolled into Affiliate Marketing; each product is evaluated separately based on the product qualification criteria.
Your shop must first meet the shop qualification criteria before each individual product can be assessed for eligibility.
Shop Qualification Criteria Your Shop Performance Score (SPS) must be 3.5 or above.
The Shop Performance Score (SPS) reflects your shop's operational performance and ranges from 0 to 5, calculated based on your average performance over the last 90 days.
For more information, go to the Shop Performance Score article.
Product Qualification Criteria The product’s Customer Experience Index (a metric that measures customer satisfaction based on product quality, logistics, and service) must be less than 1.5 times the average Customer Experience Index of products in the same listing category.
For more information, go to the Voice of Customer section under Account Health in Seller Center.
The product must not have intellectual property, fair trading, or customer review-related policy violations.
The product must not be flagged as inauthentic or unoriginal, whether through product reviews or other channels.
Creator Qualification Criteria Affiliate creators must meet specific eligibility thresholds to promote products within designated categories.
These requirements apply when adding category products to showcases, livestreams, and video anchors.
Eligibility Thresholds To promote products, your eligibility is determined by the following factors, which may vary depending on the product category: Promotion Performance Score(a rating of a creator's ability to drive sales) of 3.5 or higher Creator Health Rating(a score reflecting a creator's compliance with platform policies) of 150 or higher Creator's Track Record of Sales Sustained ability to create high-quality content If you do not meet the necessary criteria, attempts to add such products will be declined.
An automated notification will then inform you of the rejection and the reason for the failure.
For more information, go to Affiliate Creator Product Selection Policyarticle.
Additional eligibility for Auction promotions To be visible to sellers building an Auction target plan, an Affiliate Creator must also meet all of the following at the time of selection: A Promotion Performance Score above 3.5A Creator Health Rating above 150Not currently flagged as a high-risk creator under Tik Tok Shop's creator risk review Not currently flagged as an inferior-performance creator No active intellectual property risk flag on the creator account Affiliate Creators who do not meet these requirements will not be selectable in an Auction target plan and will see a rejection reason explaining which requirement was not met.
Eligibility is re-evaluated as your performance and risk signals change.
Affiliate Marketing Disqualification Criteria Both a shop or a shop's specific product can be disqualified from Affiliate Marketing.
Shop Disqualification Criteria A shop may be disqualified from Affiliate Marketing if it meets any of the criteria listed below: The Shop Performance Score (SPS) falls below 3.
The seller's account is permanently or temporarily deactivated due to a violation of Tik Tok Shop policies.
Note:
In this situation, the seller may be permanently disqualified from Affiliate Marketing.
Tik Tok Shop evaluates the shop's performance daily to determine disqualification.
When a shop is disqualified from Affiliate Marketing, all active affiliate marketing collaborations will be terminated, and the seller will no longer be able to create new collaborations.
Additionally, all products previously enrolled in the program will be removed.
A shop may regain access to Affiliate Marketing by meeting the qualification criteria outlined in the Affiliate Marketing Qualification Criteria section.
However, previous affiliate marketing collaborations will not be restored, and the seller must initiate new collaborations.
Sellers will receive a warning if their SPS falls below 3.5.
If the SPS is between 3.0 - 3.5, the seller will not be able to add new products to Affiliate Marketing, but their existing collaborations will not be impacted.
Product Disqualification Criteria A product may be disqualified from Affiliate Marketing if it meets any of the criteria listed below: The product's Customer Experience Index is more than 3 times the average Customer Experience Index of products in the same listing category.
Products that exceed this limit may be subjected to restrictions or removal from Affiliate Marketing.
The product has intellectual property, fair trading, or customer review-related policy violations.
The product has been flagged as inauthentic or unoriginal, whether through product reviews or other channels.
If a product is disqualified from Affiliate Marketing, the seller will no longer be able to create new affiliate marketing collaborations for that product.
Sellers will receive a warning if their product's Customer Experience Index exceeds 2.5 times the average Customer Experience Index of products in the same category.
In this case, the seller will not be able to add new products to Affiliate Marketing, but existing collaborations will not be impacted.
Enforcement Actions and Appeals We regularly review your shop’s compliance with our policies.
If any violations are identified, Tik Tok Shop may take enforcement action at our sole discretion.
